Delete your StudyLess account

We respect your right to control your data. Here is how to delete your account and what happens when you do.

What happens when you delete your account

When you delete your account, the following data will be permanently removed:

  • All your decks, with their notes and flashcards, and your folders
  • Your review history and study statistics
  • Your deck chats, podcasts, visual overviews, narrations, and lecture recordings with their transcripts
  • Your mock exams and their answers
  • Your profile, preferences, reminder settings and first-run answers
  • Any uploaded photos, documents, extracted text, source summaries and card images
  • The record of how you reached StudyLess, and your plan and billing records (subscription events, Pro-day grants, trial reminders)
  • Share and payment links you made
  • Feedback you sent from the app, if it was linked to your account

If you signed in with Apple and we hold an Apple token for your account, deletion also asks Apple to disconnect your Apple ID from StudyLess.

How to delete your account

Option 1: Delete from the app

  1. Open StudyLess on your phone or at app.studyless.app and go to Settings
  2. Scroll to the bottom and choose "Delete account"
  3. Type the confirmation word the screen shows (DELETE in English)
  4. Confirm. Deletion runs immediately

Option 2: Request via email

Email us from the address on your account and we will run the same deletion for you. We may ask you to confirm from that address first.

Send deletion request

We typically respond within 24-48 hours.

Deleting your account does not cancel a Pro subscription. Cancel it first in your Apple ID or Google Play subscriptions, or in Settings › Pro & billing on the web.

Data retention

Deletion removes your data from our systems immediately, not after a waiting period. Database backups expire on their own within 30 days, and our AI provider's abuse-monitoring logs expire within 30 days of the request they relate to. In the same step, your analytics profile at Mixpanel is deleted and we file the erasure of the analytics events linked to your account ID, which Mixpanel completes within about 30 days. Crash reports linked to your account ID expire within 90 days, or sooner if you ask. The subscriber record at RevenueCat is deleted when you ask, and the purchase records Apple, Google and Paddle keep as the sellers follow their own policies; the Privacy Policy lists everything deletion does not reach on its own. Deletion cannot be undone, so export your data first if you want to keep it.

This action cannot be undone

Account deletion is permanent. All your decks, flashcards, study progress, and review history will be permanently deleted and cannot be recovered.
