Turn a PDF into flashcards.
Upload your slides, a textbook chapter or class notes as a PDF. StudyLess writes the flashcards and a set of notes from it, then plans each day's review.
How it works
Upload the PDF
Up to 100 pages. Add more PDFs or photos to the same deck when the class needs them.
Get flashcards and notes
Cards for what the pages teach, and one readable set of notes from the same material.
Review what's due
StudyLess shows the cards to review each day and tells you when you're done.
PDFs that work best
- Slides
- Export them as a PDF first, from PowerPoint, Keynote or Google Slides.
- Typed pages
- Handouts, chapters and notes with selectable text read best.
- Scanned pages
- Take clear photos of them instead; StudyLess reads photos too.
- Several files
- One deck can hold several PDFs, up to 40 photos and pasted text.
Questions
Is it free?
Free makes 1 new deck a month, each with its flashcards and notes. Reviewing everything you've made is free and unlimited. Pro is for making more. See what Pro adds.
Can I make flashcards from PowerPoint slides?
Yes. Save or export the slides as a PDF, then upload it.
How long can the PDF be?
Up to 100 pages. For a longer book, make a deck for each chapter or unit; smaller decks are easier to review too.
Who can see my PDF?
Only you. It stays in your deck's sources, private to your account, and you can remove it at any time.
Can I add pages to a deck later?
A deck's material is chosen when you make it: add every file it needs then. New material makes a new deck.
