Tools · Practice test maker

A practice test maker for your own notes.

Snap your notes or add a PDF, and StudyLess writes a practice test like the real one from them. Attach a past paper to match its layout and marks; every written answer is marked point by point.

How it works

  1. Add your notes

Photos of your notes and handouts, PDFs or slides become a set's materials, with notes and flashcards.

  2. Make the test

Pick the units it covers and the kinds of questions, or attach a past paper and StudyLess matches its layout and marks.

  3. Get it marked

Every answer comes back marked; a miss shows why and the page it rests on, and gathers in Mistakes to retry.

Question kinds
Multiple choice, short answer and written, with tables and statement questions.
A past paper
Attach one (photos or a PDF) and the test follows its layout, marks and question wording.
Marking
Written answers marked point by point, with partial credit and a model answer.

Questions

Is it free?

Free makes 2 practice tests a week and 2 uploads a week to make them from, and an exam you give a date comes with its own plan checks and mock exam. Studying everything you made is free and unlimited. Pro is for making more. See what Pro adds.

Can it use my teacher's old test?

Attach a past paper (photos or a PDF) when you make the test, and StudyLess matches its layout: the number and kinds of questions, their marks and how they're worded, and its time when printed. Every question is new, written from your own material.

How are written answers marked?

Point by point: each condition and point met, partly met or missed, quoting your own words, with a model answer.

Can I print it?

Yes. On the web, print it as a two-column A4 paper and sit it on paper.

Where can I take one?

In the iPhone and Android apps and on the web, from any set you've made.
